Cool place, cooler company and the coolest trainees in the world - the GEA Group Herne!

The HH EuroLing at GEA Group Herne

DEUTSCH

ENGLISH

The HH 36 Euro Ling visited the GEA-Group in Herne. The German company had a turnover of about 5.7 billon Euros in 2012. The GEA-Group focuses on cooling and heat exchanging technology and employs over 24.000 employees. GEA is also the biggest vendor for innovative equipment and process technology.

The whole project was featured in English.

Mrs. Masquelier, head of training department at GEA Group Herne/Bochum introduced herself and we already felt welcome. Kevin Waitschies, industrial clerk trainee, was in charge of the whole organization for that day, supported by his colleagues. At first we were allowed to visit the central engineering department. That was very exciting! During a little break, we were invited to Pizza and drinks and had the opportunity to talk to the trainees. A few minutes later, the students of the HH36 Euro Ling got a safety instruction, so we were prepared and therefore allowed to visit the production site. Afterwards, we all came together to have a final discussion. Two trainees talked to us about their training program abroad. Afterwards Mrs. Masquelier informed us about the training opportunities at the GEA Group.

We got a great impression of the GEA Group on our trip and we really enjoyed this beautiful day! We want to say thank you and we appreciate what Mrs. Masquelier, Mr. Waitschies and the trainees have done for us. Thank you for this golden opportunity to get to know the GEA Group!!
